Mrs. Ethel Z. Eads, a resident of Palo Alto for the last 25 years died Saturday at Stanford University Hospital. She was 75.  Mrs. Eads was born in Putnam County, Indiana and was married there in 1919. She moved to San Francisco in 1940 with her husband, Gerald, who was a barber. They moved to Palo Alta in 1949 and they became members of Wesley United Methodist Church.  Mrs. Eads suffered a stroke last March and lived at Pleasant View Convalescent Hospital in Cupertino before she died.  She is survived by her husband, Gerald Eads of Palo Alto; her two sons, William Eads of San Jose and Robert Eads of San Francisco; her sister, Mrs. Louise Doyle of Carmichael; her brothers, Robert Harshbarger of Los Altos; Charles Harshbarger of San Mateo and Ward Harshbarger of Lake Berryessa and her four grandchildren.  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today at the Tinney & Sons Chapel in Palo Alta and interment took place at Alta Mesa Memorial Park.  The family prefers memorial donations to the Heart Fund. – kbz
